Following much social media confusion, Walsall Football Club have today issued a statement regarding the immediate future of striker Tom Bradshaw, as several clubs continue to be linked with a move for the former Shrewsbury Town forward.
Released via Saddlers.co.uk, the club confirmed; "In light of recent media speculation, the club wish to place on record that reports claiming a bid for Tom Bradshaw has been accepted are categorically untrue. The player remains an important part of Sean O’Driscoll’s squad and is key to our promotion push."
Earlier in the day, several respected journalists had reported that Bristol City had seen an undisclosed offer accepted, and had opened contract negotiations with the former Shrewsbury Town striker, however it later emerged that the original source of the news was a parody Twitter account.
