Earlier this evening, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side travelled to the New Manor Ground to take on Ilkeston in the Second Round of this season's Midland Youth Cup.
The young Saddlers, who are managed by Neil Woods, defeated Burton Albion in the First Round of the competition.
Walsall won this evening's game by three-goals-to-nil with all the goals, which were scored by Cameron Peters, Tobias Hayles-Docherty and Jordon Sangha, coming in the opening forty-five minutes.
We will have information about the next stage of games, which will be against either Boston United or Shrewsbury Town, when it is made available.
Meanwhile the young Saddlers will return to Football League Youth Alliance (North West) duty at the weekend as they travel North to take on Wigan Athletic.
