Earlier today, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side played host to Bury Under 18s in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
Both the Saddlers and the Shakers were riding high ahead of kick off, with Neil Woods' side currently topping the table, having won seven of their opening twelve games. They have also drawn three and lost just two as they enjoy a strong start to the campaign.
The young Shakers opened the scoring just over thirty minutes into the first half as George Miller helped a Ciaran Best free kick find its way past Dan Jezeph.
The next goal of the game didn't arrive until the seventy-first minute as Walsall levelled the scores through Rory Oliver, a fine strike from the midfield man.
Bury went back into the lead with seven minutes of play remaining, Miller and Best combining for the former to grab his second goal of the game.
The Saddlers again levelled the scores, this time it was Kyle King who slotted home with under a minute of normal time remaining.
Unfortunately for the Saddlers, the visitors immediately re-took the lead as Miller was in space fromt the kick off and rounded Jezeph to give his side a much-needed win.
