Walsall Football Club have called a press conference for 12:30pm tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, with the club likely to announce their new first-team manager following the recent departure of Dean Smith and Richard O'Kelly to Sky Bet Championship side, Brentford.

The man currently tipped to take the job is currently unemployed, Wolverhampton-born Sean O'Driscoll, who most recently served as Assistant to Ex-Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

O'Driscoll, a former midfielder who finished his playing career with over six-hundred games under his belt, led Doncaster Rovers to the Championship during his first full season in charge, and had to operate on a very small budget, experience that would no doubt benefit him, should he link up with the Banks's Stadium club.

Also in the running is current Caretaker and Head Physio Jon Whitney, along with Ex-Birmingham City and Tottenham Hotspur winger Jose Dominguez, who recently admitted that he had applied for the position.
