Walsall attacking midfielder Romaine Sawyers spoke to the media ahead of this weekend's festive double-header, and has insisted that despite recent transfer speculation he remains committed to the club.
Throughout the season Romaine, who is a product of the West Bromwich Albion Youth System, has been linked with moves to various clubs including Celtic, Aston Villa and Stoke City, but he has insisted that while he is flattered by the interest, he remains committed to the Saddlers.
Speaking via talkSPORT, Romaine said; "We'll have to wait and see, I'm contracted until the end of the season with Walsall. I just want to keep my mind focussed on that. We've got a promotion chase going on and I wouldn't want to drift away from that because that's obviously the target for me and the club, and I think we're working towards that.
"Personally, I don't really take too much time out to go on the internet and look at things about myself. I've got a very supportive mother who will bring information to my attention. It's flattering to hear, it shows I'm doing something good, but again my commitment is here with Walsall, but of course with the names mentioned, it's big clubs, it's flattering that someone has shown an interest but if I hear or see the speculation, I turn a blind eye to it and focus on Walsall."
