Attack minded Walsall defender Jason Demetriou has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's' Sky Bet League 1 clash with Rochdale, and has insisted that the team would cope if Tom Bradshaw and Rico Henry were to depart during the January Transfer Window.

Speaking via the Walsall Advertiser, James said; "You never know in football what is going to happen. Maybe in January we lose those two, maybe we don't, maybe we lose one, maybe we don't. But the results recently just show we can win without them and the squad is good enough to do well in this league.

"It's a massive plus and to think those two are coming back as well. Hopefully we keep them in January and imagine that? I think people are starting to believe a little bit more that we are good enough to do this. It is in our hands now.

"Walsall isn't the biggest club in this league, it doesn't get too much press and we just want to stay under the radar and keep doing what we are doing. Hopefully at the end we will be up there where we deserve to be."

Jason went on to discuss the recent departure of manager Dean Smith and Assistant Richard O'Kelly, before praising new Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll, you can read the full interview, here.
