Walsall winger Milan Lalkovic has spoken to club journalists following Boxing Day's Sky Bet League 1 victory over Millwall, and has insisted that he is enjoying playing under new Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll, having recommended him to a member of the board.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Milan said; “I was sad when the gaffer left. But I knew Sean was free and I told one of the people on the board that I really liked him. He gave me my debut when I was 18 at Doncaster. He’s a really good manager, a really good coach and he’s already added something to our game.

“He’s tweaked things slightly, never before had we gone two up top. That was something new and it was a good substitution because we won the game. We’ll keep going step by step and I think I’m going to really enjoy working with him.”

Milan went on to discuss the Saddlers' clash with Millwall, and spoke of his delight as he has now beaten the goal total he set during his previous stay with the club. You can read the full interview, HERE.
