Following Saturday afternoon's Emirates FA Cup, Second Round draw between Walsall and Chesterfield, Saddlers Head Physio Jon Whitney spoke to the media and offered a brief update on the injury status of top-scorer Tom Bradshaw, who was substituted during the mid-week win over Shrewsbury Town.

Jon revealed that Bradshaw's ankle injury isn't as bad as initially feared, and the striker could be fit in time to face Fleetwood Town next weekend.

Whitney said; "Tom isn’t as bad as thought. We are seeing how he progresses this week. He has improved better than expected. There is a chance he will be okay for Fleetwood."

Bradshaw was substituted midway through the first half of Walsall's 3-1 Sky Bet League 1 victory over Shrewsbury Town, and was briefly on crutches as the club feared he had suffered a serious injury. Thankfully, Tom was soon back on his feet and is set to make a swift return.
