Walsall Captain Adam Chambers has spoken to club journalists ahead of this weekend's Emirates FA Cup Second Round clash with Chesterfield, and has discussed his desire for the team to maintain it's recent level of performance, and continue to push towards the top of the table.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Adam said; “I’ve said many times before that I’d rather play badly and the team do well. I’m at a stage of my career where it’s coming to the end now. There are some young lads looking to perform for themselves and looking to push on in their career. But for me, it’s about what the team does and what the group do. I want us to maintain this level of performance.
“We’re not going to win every game but I want us to be in every game until the end and not just pleasing on the eye, but productive as well in what we’re doing. So far this year we’ve done that, we just need to carry it on.”
