Ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Colchester United, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and refused to rule out a loan extension for Manchester City's George Evans.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Dean said; "It’s an initial month and we’ll see where we are at the end of it. George is a player who has fitted in really well. With the injury to Sam Mantom it was a position we needed to strengthen.
“We have got Adam Chambers, who has been more restricted to a defensive midfield role this season but has excelled.
“Then we have young lads in Reece Flanagan and Liam Kinsella. I just felt we needed someone in there who had played more games at this level.”
