Walsall midfielder Romaine Sawyers has spoken to the national press ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Burton Albion, and has discussed his desire to make the step up to the Championship, hopefully with the Saddlers.
Speaking via Mirror.co.uk, Romaine said; “This is my third season in League One and we are ready to make that next step. From a personal point of view, every player wants to play as high as they can and the next step is the Championship.
“God willing that will be with Walsall and we get up this year because it would be a really big thing for the club. Being part of the first Walsall team to get to Wembley in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy was great last year and to be part of a promotion would be, too.”
