
Walsall Football Club have today been handed a major boost with the news that defender Rico Henry has put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2018.
The club's official website, Saddlers.co.uk, confirms; "The 18-year-old has made 21 first-team appearances since progressing through the Saddlers’ youth system.
"He made his professional debut in a 2-2 draw against Tranmere in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy last December and has featured 11 times this season.
"Henry scored his first career goal in a 2-1 League Cup victory over Brighton in August, and netted Walsall’s winner in Tuesday evening’s 1-0 victory over Scunthorpe."
