Walsall Captain Adam Chambers is set to make his 200th Saddlers appearance as his side travel to the Weston Homes Community Stadium to take on Colchester United in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season.

Ahead of tomorrow's game, Adam has sat down with club journalists to discuss his time with the club, and offered special praise for manager Dean Smith.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Adam said; “To make my 200th appearance tomorrow will be a proud moment for myself but I’m hoping it can be a successful one with a win.

"There have been a few highlights. The Wembley run was very memorable and we've had some big games at the Banks's against Wolves and Preston. Playing for Walsall has been a very enjoyable part of my career and I’m hoping that I can top it off with a successful season this year.

“Dean Smith is a very good manager and I’ve known him and Richard O’Kelly for a long time. They make it a learning environment and encourage everyone to work hard and keep improving no matter how old you are.

“I’m thinking of going into coaching after I finish playing, and here is definitely a great place to observe and learn. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time under the gaffer and hopefully we can continue to do well this season.”
