Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Peterborough United, and has discussed the penalty incident which saw the Posh level the scores.
Speaking to Joseph Masi of the Express & Star, Smith said; "They have got in the box and to be fair to the referee he couldn’t be in a better position. But our goalkeeper, Neil Etheridge, has given the lad the opportunity to go down and the lad has took it because I don’t think there was too much contact to be honest. Outside the penalty box, that wouldn’t have been given.”
