Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Doncaster Rovers, and has hailed last season's visit to Wembley Stadium as the spark for this season's solid start.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “We have had a good start and that doesn’t come as a surprise to me at all. Getting to Wembley last year has wet the appetite of a lot the players.
“Most of them have now been here for a few years, they know what we are about and they know what we can achieve. They are starting to demand a lot more from each other now because they know what each other is capable of.”
