Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the national press ahead of Wednesday evening's Capital One Cup clash with Chelsea, and has discussed the Saddlers fans' 'Ginger Mourinho' chants, insisting he's flattered to be mentioned alongside someone he considers to be one of the best in the world.
Speaking via the Daily Star, Smith said; "The Mourinho song our fans sing is just one of those things which happens in football isn't it? He is one of the best known coaches in the world.
"Our fans obviously relate that to myself by having ginger hair. I don't think for one minute their fans will be calling him 'Grey Smith' will they? When it first came out it was a wee bit embarrassing but if they liken me to one of the top coaches in the world then I suppose it is very flattering."
