Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press ahead of this afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Peterborough United, and has praised striker Jordan Cook, who has bagged four goals in two games for the Saddlers reserves while patiently awaiting his chance in the first team.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; "Jordan has done very well in the reserves and he has done very well when introduced as a sub. He is a player we know is very talented but Bradshaw has been on fire and so has Romaine Sawyers so he has found his chances limited.
“But his attitude has been terrific, his application is great and he is scoring goals in the reserves which gives me problem. That also gives him ammunition when he comes in and sees me demanding to play. He is a big part of what we are doing here.”
