As the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 1 season draws ever near, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and discussed the Saddlers' Spanish trialist Adrian Pazo, revealing that the defender has returned home.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “In terms of Pazo, he’s flown back to Spain. He did alright and I was quietly pleased with what I saw.
“But I don’t think he was quite good enough for me to say ‘yeah, there’s a contract’. He wasn’t better than what we’ve got.
“I think, probably, if we had six months with him, he would be. But I don’t want to have to do six months with somebody – I want a player to come in straight away and be up to speed.”
