As the 2015/16 season draws near, Walsall Football Club first-team coach Richard O'Kelly has spoken to the local press and insisted that the current crop of players are more than capable of mounting a challenge, revealing that he is excited by the squads' drive to succeed.
Speaking to Joseph Masi of the Express & Star, Richard said; “I truly believe we have something special bubbling. We are a club that has to develop players. We have to get in rough edges and we have to polish them up.
“But if you get a group of them coming through together then you end up with a team. And I believe we have that team.
“The way the players have come back for pre-season - they are all it. As coaches we are always driving them but this group drive each other. As a group they have come back as fit as ever and they are the most driven I have ever seen. That is what excites me.”
