With the 2015/16 season drawing near, summer signing Jason Demetriou has spoken to the local press, and revealed that he is enjoying the team's recent switch to a 3-5-2 formation, as he prefers to play as a wing-back, rather than full-back.
Speaking to Joseph Masi of the Express & Star, Jason said; “For me it is perfect. I have played there before, while I was in Cyprus, and I really enjoyed it.
“I am probably better going forward than I am as a defender. But whatever formation the gaffer picks I will put an honest shift in.
“Playing wing-backs is tailor-made for me, but I think it’s tailor-made for a lot of players in our squad.
“It’s worked well for us throughout pre-season so now we just have to wait and see if the gaffer goes with it against for the season opener against Oldham.”
