Young Walsall central defender Kyle Rowley, who has today joined local Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Sutton Coldfield Town on a one-month loan, has spoken to the club's official website and discussed his move, revealing that he hopes it can make the most of it, and come back a better player.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Kyle said; “It’s important to get games as a young professional. Obviously I’m not expected to play as much for Walsall at the moment so the best thing I can do is to go and play.
“I know mens football is going to be a physical challenge but I think I can hold my own. I played some reserve team football last season so that was a good taste of what’s to come in terms of the physicality.
“Speaking to Matt Preston and a few of the others who have been out, they’ve all returned as better players. I hope when I come back I’ll be better for the experience as well and ready to make an impact here.
“Mentally as a player, you need to be playing. You can work your socks off at training but nothing compares to preparing all week for a match. That’s when all your hard work is rewarded.
“I’m a confident lad and I know a couple of faces at Sutton so I’m just going to be myself, keep my head down and try to do my best for the team. All of us are there for the same reason, we want to win games and play the best we can.”
