Following Saturday afternoon's pre-season clash between Walsall and Luton Town, Saddlers manager Dean Smith spoke to the club's official website and revealed that young centre-back Matt Preston picked up a knock during the 1-0 win.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; “We had to change it (formation) towards the end with Matt Preston going off injured but in general we look comfortable with it. We look fit enough now and that’s the idea of pre season.
“I’m really looking forward to the new campaign. Its what we have been working towards and hopefully Matt Preston has just taken a knock and I’ll have a fully fit squad to choose from on Saturday.”
