On Tuesday evening Walsall Football Club took on and defeated Sky Bet Championship outfit in Round 2 of the Capital One Cup. Following the game Seagulls manager Chris Hughton spoke to his club's official website, and insisted that it was a match they should have won.

Speaking to Seagulls.co.uk, Chris said; “I felt we had some really good periods in the game. I can’t really remember a game where we’ve had so much possession breaking into their final third and we counter-attacked very well.

“They looked dangerous on the counter-attack in the first half and they’re a team in very good form, but we had ample opportunities and got into some great areas.

“Solly March got to the byline on four or five occasions, but if we’re not able to get those second goals then it’s always going to put pressure on ourselves.

“That’s what happened and any mistake you might make gives the opposition an opportunity to capitalise on it and that’s what they did.

“It’s a game we should have won, but unfortunately we didn’t and certainly come tomorrow it’s got to be about looking forward to a tough game at Ipswich on Saturday.

“Bobby (Zamora) will be involved in a training game this week and that will give him a really good chance of having some involvement in the game on Saturday.”
