Following the signing of Cyprus international defender Jason Demetrou, and Philippines international goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and attempted to allay fears that the new signings' potential call-ups could disrupt the coming campaign.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “They are international players and their international careers will carry on. It shouldn’t interfere too much with our programme.
"Looking at the calender there are only two or three games where it might so we can deal with that when it comes around. It’s exciting we have two new internationals.”
