With the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 1 season just a couple of weeks away, Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and discussed his desire to bring in talent from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa.
Speaking to Michael Beardmore of the Walsall Advertiser, Smith said; "We have a good relationship with City and Liverpool and hopefully we can build the same sort of thing with Villa, now they are using our pitch for some of their under-21 games this season.
"Manchester City were happy how Jordy's loan went last season and I've always had the link with Liverpool because (Anfield academy director) Alex Inglethorpe is one of my best friends.
"Richard O'Kelly's friendship with Sean (O'Driscoll) can only strengthen our hand in that respect."
