Walsall Football Club's most recent summer signing Milan Lalkovič has spoken to the local press and discussed the club's chances of reaching the play-offs, insisting that the foundations are there.
Speaking to Michael Beardmore of the Walsall Advertiser, Milan said; "If you want to achieve something, you need to have a bigger squad. If something is not going well, or if someone is injured or if someone needs a bit of a rest, it is good to have options.
"A bigger squad is only healthy – not everybody can play 46 games, maybe just the goalkeeper or centre-halves. Personally, I can play in more positions than one and whatever system we play I will try to do my best.
"This year is all about consistency – that's what I want to produce. If we do that as a team and me as a person, I think we will do really well. But that's the main thing – consistency.
"We have to go step by step but why not top six? We are an ambitious club and ambitious players as well."
