After spending a brief time training with the Walsall squad, former Saddlers striker Aaron Williams has today penned a two-year deal with Vanarama National League North side, Nuneaton Town.
21-year-old West Bromwich born Williams is a product of the Walsall FC Centre of Excellence, he signed pro-terms in 2011 and made around six goalless first-team appearances and enjoyed loan spells with Redditch United, Romulus and AFC Telford United before being released ahead of the 2013/14 Football League campaign.
Following a brief return to Telford he went on to join Worcester City where he would make around forty appearances, scoring just two goals before joining Rushall Olympic in September 2014.
2014/15 would be a successful season for Aaron as he bagged thirty-eight goals overall and was named Supporters' Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season and Golden Boot Top Goalscorer at the Pics' End of Season Awards.
Williams' goalscoring exploits also attracted the attention of England C manager Paul Fairclough who named him in the squad to take on the Republic of Ireland's under-21 team in a friendly in Galway on 1st June.
Aaron was invited to train with the Saddlers squad as they returned to training last week, but has now departed for the National League.
