On Sunday afternoon the Walsall Football Supporters' Trust's Legends side took on Crown FC in a match to raise funds for St Giles Hospice.
The match, which took place at Shelfield United's King George Crescent ground in Rushall, was a ten goal thriller and ended Walsall Legends 3 Crown FC 7, with Sean Geddes, Mark Taylor and George Bowerman all netting for the Saddlers.
Following the game the Trust revealed that the match had raised over £1,500 for the Walsall branch of St Giles Hospice which is a 12-bed in-patient facility based at the Palliative Care Centre in Goscote.
The hospice offers specialist care for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses who are too poorly to remain at home, as well as respite stays and symptom relief.
