As the Walsall Football Club continue their preparations for the 2015/16 Sky Bet League 1 campaign, the Saddlers are today being linked with a move for Hull City goalkeeper Mark Oxley, following the Tigers' relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
24-year-old, Sheffield born Oxley is a product of the Rotherham United youth system, having risen through the ranks to sign pro-terms in 2007.
After being scouted by several bigger clubs, and without making a first-team appearance for the Millers, he joined then newly promoted Premier League club Hull City in August 2008 for a fee of £150,000.
Since joining Hull, Mark has gone on to make just one first-team appearance and has enjoyed loan spells with several clubs including Grimsby Town, Burton Albion, Oldham Athletic, Hibernian and the Saddlers, though he failed to make a single appearance for the club in a brief 2009 spell.
Mark is down the pecking order at the KC Stadium and is understood to be keen to get more football under his belt.
