Walsall Football Club have this afternoon revealed that former Peterborough United, Wigan Athletic, Fulham and Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard will host a Sporting Dinner at Banks's Stadium during the build up to Christmas 2015.

In a statement released via Saddlers.co.uk, the club confirm; We've signed up another footballing icon for a Sporting Dinner here at Banks’s Stadium during December.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that we’ll have Dwight Yorke here on December 10th, we can now confirm that Jimmy Bullard will be joining us for a fun-packed evening on Thursday, December 3rd.

Bullard had a colourful career in the game and despite coming into professional football relatively late, he made it to the very top level and is now carving out a successful career for himself in television, including a memorable appearance on ‘I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!’ last year.

A cheeky chappy, he was a painter and decorator before joining the team he supported as a boy, West Ham United, in 1999.

It was at Peterborough United where he started to make his name and this led to a move to Wigan Athletic, whom he helped reach the Premier League as well as a League Cup Final appearance in 2006.

A move to Fulham followed before he went on to become Hull City’s record signing in a £5 million switch at the turn of 2009.

Spells with Ipswich Town and MK Dons were to follow before he hung up his boots as he succumbed to injury.

He has since gone on to become a popular figure on various television shows.

Tickets for our Sporting Dinner with Jimmy Bullard are £40 each. The evening will also include comedian, Josh Daniels, and a delicious four-course meal.

Tickets are on sale from the Banks’s Stadium Ticket Office (open weekdays, 9.00am until 4.30pm) or by calling 01922-651 414/416.
