Earlier today Walsall Football Club announced that last season's top scorer Tom Bradshaw had put pen-to-paper on a contract extension that will see him remain with the club until at least the summer of 2017, following the reveal Tom spoke to the club's official website and discussed his delight at agreeing new terms.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Tom said; “I’m over the moon to sign this extension. It was a great year for me personally last season and there is no reason why, as a team, we can’t be challenging for the play-offs this time around.
“I’m full of optimism and can’t wait to get started again. We showed against the big teams last season that we can really thrive at this level.
“For me to miss around 20 games last season through injury but still hit 20 goals was a brilliant milestone, but I realise that I have to do it on a consistent basis and I will be striving to reach those heights again.
“I’ve got every faith that we will be up there challenging at the right end of the table; it’s all about finding that level of consistency and being able to hit the ground running.
“I am hungry to get more goals.”
