Walsall Football Club have this afternoon been linked with a summer move for young Leyton Orient full-back Sam Ling, who is the son of former Leyton Orient, Cambridge United and Torquay United manager Martin Ling.
18-year-old Ling, who was named in a select XI by League Football Education (LFE) in March last year, is yet to make a first-team appearance for the O's but has put in many solid performances for the Youth and Reserve sides and has been seen as one for the future.
His father is currently a scout for the Saddlers, amongst various other jobs both inside and outside of the world of football.

Much like Walsall's Liam Kinsella, Sam is known to play both right-back and centre midfield.
