Earlier today Walsall Football Club's second-choice goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will see him remain at Banks's Stadium until at least the summer of 2016.
Following the contract announcement, Walsall manager Dean Smith spoke to the club's official website and praised Craig, insisting that he wants to see the stopper force his way into the team.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; “I have been pleased with his development over the past 12 months. He works hard and has worked well under Neil Cutler.
“He’s been a steady performer for the reserves and I expect him to continue getting better. He was given his chance in the final two games of the season and now I want to see him competing to be first-choice between the posts.”
