Following Sunday afternoon's heavy Sky Bet League 1 defeat to Bristol City attention turns to Banks's Stadium and the 2014/15 End of Season Awards. Brief highlights of the event, and information on who collected an award is below.
The doors to the Stadium Suite were opened at 7:00pm with dinner being served just over an hour later, guests were treated to a four course meal, which was preceded by club chaplain Peter Hart saying grace, prepared by the award winning Banks's Stadium chef's.
Between courses Head of Youth Neil Woods was one of the first to speak, he discussed the current youth set-up at the club, and praised his players for their hard work during their Midland Floodlit Youth Cup winning campaign, he also praised his staff for their dedication.
First-team coach and Reserves team manager Richard O'Kelly also spoke to the guests, he answered a few questions and took a look back through the season.
After dessert was served Walsall's Media Officer, pre-match host, and Saddlers Player co-commentator Dale Moon presented a video with an alternative review of the season.
Following some light entertainment and a speech by manager Dean Smith the award giving got underway, the results are below.
Former Walsall manager Chris Nicholl was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Right-back Ben Purkiss was presented with the Community Player of the Year Award.
Kitman Tom Bradley was presented with the Long Service Award.
Graeme Brookes picked up the 'Fan of the Season' Award following his charity walk from 'Walsall to Wembley' in aid of the Walsall Society for the Blind. Graeme declined the award and dedicated it to his grandfather.
Attacker Jordan Cook picked up the Goal of the Season Award for his strike versus Barnsley.
Newly-signed pro Kyle Rowley won the Apprentice of the Season Award.
Richard O'Donnell picked up the Players' Player of the Season Award, club captain Adam Chambers was second, with top-scorer Tom Bradshaw in third place.
Rico Henry was named the Young Player of the Year.
