Walsall captain Adam Chambers has spoken to the club's official website ahead of Sunday's season-ending Sky Bet League 1 clash with Bristol City, and has discussed his desire to gain revenge over the Robins following the Saddlers' disappointing defeat in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Adam said; "There is a sense of owing them one after Wembley. We certainly didn't hit the heights with our performance against them in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final and that was disappointing.
"It will go a little way to putting things right on Sunday if we can come away with a win.
"They are a strong side who have comfortably won the League Title and have a lot of attacking ability. We know what a good side they are, but we have certainly stood up and been counted in recent weeks. It's also been nice to see us scoring the goals that our performances have deserved.
"It's been an up and down kind of season; there have been massive highs and some lows along the way, but through it all we have dug deep and stuck together as a group.
"We're finishing the season strongly and it will be nice to take that into next season. There will be a party atmosphere at Sunday's game and we don't mind being party poopers!
"We will go there and look to make it a difficult day for our hosts before wishing them well in The Championship at the end.
"We've got some very talented youngsters here and there is a lot for us to be positive about; the future is bright and we're aiming high."
