Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press following Friday's departure of first-choice 'keeper Richard O'Donnell to Wigan Athletic, and has discussed his disappointment at the Sheffield-born stoppers move.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said: “Richard will be missed because he did very well. But we would like to think some of that was down to the work we did with him. It’s disappointing because we have done an awful lot of work with him. He came to us, initially on trial, and did very well.”
