Earlier today Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract at Banks's Stadium.
Earlier today Walsall midfielder Liam Kinsella put pen-to-paper on a new two-year contract at Banks's Stadium.

Following the publication of the news, Liam spoke to the club's official website to discuss his new deal and revealed his hope of guiding the Saddlers to the play-offs next season.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Liam said; “I’m over the moon. I can’t wait for pre-season to start now so that I can work hard and crack on. I loved every minute of it last season and want to get more games under my belt during the season ahead.

“This is a great club for young players to be at because you know that your chance will come if you work hard enough. We’ve got a lot of youngsters here and hopefully a few of us will break through and establish ourselves in the team.

“Now I’ve had a taste of it, I want more! I don’t mind where I play; I was used at right-back last season but came through as a midfielder, so I have that versatility and a willingness to work hard.

“Our aim for the new season has to be to get into the play-offs and I feel that we are more than capable of achieving that.”
