Walsall Football Club top-scorer Tom Bradshaw has today spoken to the club's official website to discuss his twenty-goal debut season at Banks's Stadium, and has insisted that the club can be play-off contenders next season.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Tom said; “The season for me personally has been very good. Yes, there have been a few set-backs along the way, but I am over the moon to reach 20 goals in 37 games.
“Of course, as a team we were disappointed to finish in 14th; but we’ve shown enough positives to be confident that with a few minor tweaks, we can be serious play-off contenders next season.
“From day one I was made to feel at home here. It was easy to settle and that has played a big part in me reaching 20 goals for the season.
“To reach that figure is a good season for any striker and my objective now is to help us achieve more success and really kick-on from here.
“I must say that the fans have been great. They have supported me throughout the season and that belief means a lot to me. I am pleased that I was able to repay them in goals.
“There are no major plans for this year,” he went on. “I’ll be going away for the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of this month and also have a week in Greece coming up, so that will be nice.
“It’ll be good to get a few weeks of rest before being ready to go again. I’ll be following my maintenance programme and also coming in for extra sessions with Jon Whitney."
