On Tuesday afternoon Walsall Football Club's Reserves traveled to the Globe Arena to take on Morecambe Reserves in the latest Final Third Development League (West) fixture of the season.

The Saddlers, who had drawn 1-1 with title-hopefuls Port Vale in their most recent outing, produced the biggest win of the Development League's schedule after thrashing Morecambe  by seven-goals-to-nil as James Baxendale, trialist Chris Sutherland, Amadou Bakayoko, Levi Rowley, Jordan Murphy, the returning Rico Henry, and Reece Flanagan all got their names on the scoresheet.

In the same league, Tranmere Rovers, who had defeated Morecambe by three-goals-to-one in their previous outing, only needed one scorer in their match versus Shrewsbury Town, with first-teamer Jake Kirby scoring a hat-trick in a 3-0 success in Shropshire.

Walsall now sit third in the table, which you can see below, having played ten, won five, drawn one and lost four games.
