Following the game, Walsall manager Dean Smith spoke to the assembled media to discuss the Saddlers' crushing win.
Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "I am really pleased. It's all about the performance and to score five goals at home will put smiles on the faces of the supporters.
"Justice has been done because we deserved to win at their place earlier in the season and came away with nothing having dominated throughout that game.
"It was an excellent performance from start to finish, everyone involved can be pleased with their contribution.
"We've scored five goals without Tom Bradshaw getting on the scoresheet, and there were some good finished amongst them. I don't know how it was only 1-0 at half-time such was our dominance.
"I felt that we passed the ball with purpose and quickly. There was a stage when we had to be patient to draw them out, but we did it well and hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
"We've performed well in the last four or five games, and it's four clean sheets in a row, so things are very positive at the moment.
"We now look towards Saturday's game at Crewe and hopefully we can secure another three points. We'll certainly give ourselves every chance if we perform like we have done tonight."
