On Tuesday evening Walsall Football Club travel to Huish Park to take on Yeovil Town in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season. Our latest match preview is below.

 WALSALL LATEST...
The Saddlers, who are without a win in the last four league games, picked up just eight points from a possible twenty-one during the month of February, and will be looking to bounce back from a 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient last weekend, a result which was the Saddlers' third defeat in five games, and one that put a rather large dent in their play-off aspirations.

Dean Smith's side will be hoping to continue their good away form, which has seen them win three, draw one and lose one of their last five away trips, they will however need to improve on their current scoring average, which sees them notch less than a goal-a-game on the road (0.94).

Walsall will hope to welcome back winger Anthony Forde, who missed the weekend's defeat with a groin injury.

Sam Mantom continues to miss out with a knee injury which has allowed him just a handful of substitute appearances so far this season.

 THE OPPOSITION...
Yeovil Town, who currently sit 24th and bottom of Sky Bet League 1, arrive at this week's match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe United, a result which sees them end February with five points from a possible fifteen.

The Cidermen, who are also without a win in the last four, have won just two of their last ten league games, and are averaging just 0.79 goals per game this campaign.

Goalkeeper Artur Krysiak was hospitalised after the weekend draw with the Iron, he suffered a cut to the head during a clash with an opposition player. He was later released with ten stitches, and reported for training on Sunday morning.

 LATEST ODDS...
Football League sponsors Sky Bet are currently offering odds of; Yeovil 7/5 Draw 11/5 Walsall 9/5.

 HEAD TO HEAD...
Of the twenty-one games played it's the Cidermen that hold the overall lead, with eight wins to the Saddlers' six. There have also been seven draws during the fixture's history.

Their first meeting took place at Fellows Park on Saturday, 12th December 1936. The match, which was in the Second Round of the FA Cup, ended one-all, with the Saddlers winning the replay by one-goal-to-nil just three days later.

Their most recent meeting took place at Banks's Stadium, on Tuesday, 19th August 2014, and ended 2-1 to the visiting side.

James Hayter had opened the scoring for the Somerset men before being pegged back by a Tom Bradshaw equaliser.

Kevin Dawson put his side back into the lead just moments later and secured all three points in a rewarding away trip.

Liam Kinsella and Ashley Grimes were booked for the Saddlers, whilst Yeovil's Jakub Sokolik, Nathan Smith, Sam Foley and Ben Nugent were all shown yellow cards by referee Jeremy Simpson.

Walsall haven't defeated Yeovil in eight games, with the Saddlers losing four and drawing four since they won 3-1 at Huish Park on 1st December 2009, Darren Byfield, Steve Jones and Sam Parkin's goals more than enough to secure the three points, despite Jonathan Obika's 30th minute strike.

 OFFICIALS...
The Football Association and The Football League have assigned the match to Mr. Charles Breakpear, who is based in Surrey.

He has taken charge of twenty-three games in various competitions so far this season, where he has issued seventy-seven yellow, and nine red cards. He has also awarded five penalties so far this campaign.

The referee is in his second season in the Football League - he had previously taken charge of Conference Premier matches before the Surrey Football Association promoted him to Level 1 refereeing status, which meant he could officiate in the Football League’s divisions.

The most recent Walsall game officiated over by Mr. Breakspear, was last season's FA Cup First-Round victory over near-rivals, Shrewsbury Town.

The match, which was played in front of just 3,004 supporters at Banks's Stadium, on Saturday, 9th November 2013, ended 3-0 to the Saddlers, with goals from Craig Westcarr (2), and Romaine Sawyers.

This season's top-scorer Tom Bradshaw started for the Shrews, but was replaced by John Mardsen after sixty-eight minutes. Aaron Wildig saw yellow for the visitors, in an otherwise tame affair.

Mr. Andrew Bennett and Mr. Colin Lymer will assist the referee, whilst Mr. Mark Derrien will be Fourth Official.
