PREVIEW: SMITH LOOKS AHEAD TO GLOVERS' CLASH

Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this evening's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Yeovil Town, and has called for his side to respond from last weekend's defeat to Leyton Orient.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "Saturday's performance was disappointing. The players know that they fell below the standards that they have set themselves and we got what we deserved in the end.

"We didn’t pass the ball in the opposition half enough and once Leyton Orient got their goal it gave them a lift and it was hard for us to get back into the game after that.

"There were too many below-par performances out there, but the good thing is that we have a game straight away in order to attempt to put things right and get back into winning ways.

"We find ourselves up against a Yeovil Town side that will be desperate for the points in order to pull themselves away from the bottom of the table.

"They’ve struggled this season, but they will be full of determination and keen to build upon the point that they brought home from Scunthorpe at the weekend.

"It will be a case of us rolling up our sleeves and bouncing back from the weekend. We’ve done our de-brief and that game is gone now, it’s about how we respond to it."
