Walsall manager Dean Smith, speaking ahead of today's Sky Bet League 1 trip to Chesterfield, has offered a brief update on the club's ongoing contract negotiations, which are understood to be with Richard O'Donnell, Paul Downing and Rico Henry.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; "Discussions are ongoing with the players and their representatives, at the moment.
"We are hopeful we will have something sorted soon. We would like to have it sorted before the end of the season for both them and us, to see where we are going to move forward.”
