Beaglehole spoke to Leicester City's Foxes Player, and said: “Michael has done exceptionally well to play in League 1 consistently. Walsall’s performances have improved – they’ve had a great run of results with him in the team.
“They've got to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final, which is a great achievement. Again, it’s the experience that Michael is going to get from that. He’s enjoyed it there and he’s grown in stature.
"He’s proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s capable of playing in League 1. You would expect him to be playing at least in the Championship with the performances he’s had this year as a young player in League 1.
“There’s no substitute for league football. What you’ve got in the lower leagues are players that are desperate to win. There’s pressure on them to win games. Michael Cain has seen that. It’s good for him. Winning is a must at level and we try and teach the Under-21s that.”
