Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; “Jordy is a player that I have been tracking for a while. I saw him last season for City's Under-21s and he did really well, so he is someone I marked down as one to watch.
"He's since been on loan at Yeovil and all the scouting reports we have on their matches highlight him as a player with real potential.
"He played against us recently in a behind-closed-doors game and did really well, so I am delighted to be able to bring him here.
"I like to get players on their second loan and feel that Jordy will come here and improve us. He will give us a threat in behind and can play down the middle or out wide.
"His preferred position is as a 'number nine', and with his pace and trickery, we have an exciting, young talent on our hands."
