SMITH LOOKS AHEAD TO BANTAMS CLASH

Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Bradford City, and has insisted that he will approach the game in the same way as all the others and hopes to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Port Vale.
Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Bradford City, and has insisted that he will approach the game in the same way as all the others and hopes to bounce back from last weekend's defeat to Port Vale.

Speaking to Saddlers.co.uk, Dean said; "A lot has been made of the pitch at Bradford, and I am sure that they would like it to be in a better state than it currently is, but they are a good team with good players who are on top of their game at the moment.

"They like to mix it up and they have the players to be able to do that. They've got results on their pitch but have also gone away and got results on good surfaces.

"We've watched Bradford City a few times recently and we know that there will be areas where we will have to play a bit less, but it makes for an interesting game.

"Defensively we have been extremely organised on our travels and made it difficult for the opposition, whilst in attack we have been clinical.

"We will approach the game in the correct way, as we always do, as we attempt to bounce back from last weekend's defeat at the hands of Port Vale."
