Earlier today, tickets for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final, which is between Walsall and Bristol City, and will take place on Sunday, 22nd March, went on sale to 2014/15 Season Ticket Holders.

According to club reports, supporters had begun queueing since as early as 3:30am in anticipation, and the queue has grown ever since.

Supporters in the queue are now reporting severe delays, including over 45 minutes without any movement, and up to and including three hours before collection.

The club have confirmed the delays, and issued an apology via Facebook, they said; "We apologise for the long queues. We are doing all that we can to accommodate specific requirements and requests from supporters and, as you will appreciate, there are a lot of big bookings of people who want to sit together for this special occasion.

"We are working flat-out in the Ticket Office with the maximum number of staff selling tickets and taking phone calls. Everyone who is in the queue by 1.00pm today, will be served today. The Banks’s Stadium Ticket Office will be open throughout Saturday."

Earlier Walsall manager Dean Smith was at the ground and spoke to supporters as the Ticket Office dealt with the growing clamour.

Staff from cup sponsors Johnstone's Paint were also in attendance, offering games and giveaways as sales got underway.
