This weekend Walsall Football Club play host to Port Vale in the latest Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season. Manager Dean Smith is sweating on the fitness of several of his first-teamers as he seeks to win his third league game in just over a week.
Top-scorer Tom Bradshaw is rated 50/50 after missing the last few games with a hamstring injury.
Defender James Chambers is also rated 50/50, the versatile defender has been suffering from cramp for the past fortnight.
Former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Anthony Forde, who came off at half time during the Saddlers' midweek victory over Rochdale with a hamstring injury is a doubt, as fatigue is an issue, but will be assessed ahead of the game.
Winger Jordan Cook, who was also substituted during the Saddlers' victory over Rochdale, could play a part and is expected to undergo a fitness test closer to the game.
Dean Smith spoke to Saddlers.co.uk about the current injury issues, he said; "Both Anthony Forde and Jordan Cook will be assessed in the build-up to kick-off. With Forde is it more of a fatigue injury and he is a doubt at this stage, whilst I am more hopeful on Cook.
"I expect James Chambers and Tom Bradshaw to join in training on Friday, but Saturday’s game is likely to be too soon for them."
