Walsall Football Club first choice goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell has spoken to the press ahead of Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Leyton Orient, and has discussed the current state of negotiations for a new deal, insisting; "It's not playing on my mind."
Speaking to the Express & Star, Richard said; “Personally it’s not playing on my mind and I’m leaving it to the gaffer and my agent to sort out.
“It’s always nice to get recognition and hopefully that’s the case because it means you’re doing your job well.
“If I’m playing well, then I’m sure people are watching but I’m just leaving it to the club."
When asked about the daily commute from Sheffield to the Midlands, Richard said; “It’s not a problem for me – I’ve done it for over 18 months now so I’m used to it and I just get on with it.
“I might have lost a bit of petrol money but I get in early and can deal with it and it hasn’t affected my form."
