Walsall Football Club have been linked with a loan move for former Saddlers striker Matty Fryatt, who is currently plying his trade with Sky Bet Championship side, Nottingham Forest.

28-year-old Nuneaton born Fryatt began his career as an apprentice with the Saddlers, and progressed through the youth system before signing pro-terms and making his first-team debut, against Bolton Wanderers, in September 2003.

Matty went on to make over seventy first-team appearances for the Saddlers before joining Leicester City for an undisclosed fee in January 2006.

He made over 170 first-team appearances for the Foxes before joining Hull City in 2011. Matty made over eighty appearances for the Tigers over three years before joining current club Nottingham Forest in June 2014.

Matty has made 398 career appearances, and scored 133 goals.

A Bescot Banter reader reported seeing Matty's car driving away from Banks's Stadium following Sunday evening's Sky Bet League 1 draw with Gillingham.
